The dust bag should last about 30 loads, or around one month or so, and you'll have to replace the filter every once every few months (which is actually recommended by iRobot). We've found that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get loud during operation, so it's a good choice for people who live with kids or pets.
Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8

Some robot vacuum cleaners are able to be controlled by apps on smartphones, and others have mopping technology for bathrooms and kitchen flooring. They're an excellent solution for busy families, and are becoming more affordable than ever. But if you want top-tech features for your robotic vacuum cleaner, you'll have to spend a bit more.
The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is an all-in-one vacuum and mopping machine, making it a good choice for those who live in a house with multiple floors. Its dual motors offer impressive cleaning power, and the vacuum's 0.6l dustbin can store plenty of pet hair. The dustbin can be removed and emptied without fuss, which is useful since you'll have to do it often.
It's also simple to set it up, but I would recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid prior to running it for the first time. You'll have to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network. After you've completed this the app will help you create a precise map of your home. You can name rooms or divide rooms into sub-rooms (good for open-plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that need cleaning at a specific time. There are many other robots that have similar scanning and mapping functions, but Eufy's application feels more refined and intuitive than other models.
One of the best features on the X8 Hybrid is that you can activate the vacuum or mop with your voice thanks to integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This is a nice addition that makes the robot even more hands-free. It also works well in our test house.
As with many robotic vacuums the X8 Hybrid has some issues with bare floors. It is prone to be unable to see pet hair or small objects, and it is prone to hit things - such as its own charger that sits on its base of its charging. It's not as quiet and the whirring sound could be distracting as with other models.
Roborock V3S Pro
The robot doesn't come with the same number of features as the more expensive models we tested, however it does have the basics covered. It has a large dust bin that can hold a lot of dirt before needing to be cleaned. The mop and vacuum system is ideal for hard floors and carpets with low pile. It's also quiet. We could watch TV while it cleaned without feeling as though we were being bombarded with noise.
Our test subjects were impressed with how easy it was to set up and use, and they were amazed by its ability to take all the messes off their flooring. It did a good job cleaning pet hair, messes, and carpeting, but it had a harder time getting rid of stains that were stubborn. The app was simple to use and easy to understand. They could program the vacuum to clean on a regular basis to reduce the amount of manual work. The only drawback is that it does not have any mapping technology or object avoidance, which means you aren't able to send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips are compatible).
The V3S Pro is another model from the iRobot's budget line. It has many impressive features at a reasonable price. It was the most efficient robot vacuum in our tests to avoid obstacles and map them. It's also a great budget option for those seeking a smarter, self-emptying robotic vacuum that is able to handle hair and pet messes on hardwood floors or low-pile carpeting. It's also extremely quiet and has a huge dust bin that can hold a lot before it has to be empty.
The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists from reliable sources that conduct hands-on tests, however it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and set up, but the battery life was not long.
